Paintings of Skulls

A series of small mixed media paintings of skulls. Since childhood I have been obsessed with the iconography surrounding human skulls, from The Goonies' One Eyed Willie to the graphics on Powell Peralta's Bones Brigade skateboards like Mike McGill's Skull and Snake. I don't know why this imagery holds such sway for me but it does, even as a middle aged photographer I still love drawing and painting skulls.
