Ill Communication
An examination and critique of the function and consequences of the language and signs / symbols of the restrictive and oppressive social constructs of authenticity and originality. Relying upon a series of visual tropes (language, symbols & portraits) it transforms previously mundane symbols into a system of critique. In utilizing traditionally non-unique methodologies and mediums (primarily photography & printmaking) as well as serieology and taxonomy this work functions formally as a metaphor for the inherent failures of these constructs.
