A body of work consisting of ambrotypes framed in carved live edge walnut, a caffenol print from a 4x5 glass plate negative and a stop action experimental live action animation re-examining the story of Joseph Merrick (elephant man) from a perspective that centers his experiences and shines a light on previous tellings’ medical savior-ism and the indiscriminate prejudice that outsiders receive without the need for the previous tellings’ traditional pitying disability tropes.
